Katie Sherrick is Senior Manager of Supplier Quality Performance at Otis Elevator in Farmington, CT.  She has extensive experience in new product development, testing and qualification, and supplier quality.  She holds 6 U.S. Patents and serves as an alternate member on the ASME A17 Hoistway Committee.  Katie is passionate about promoting diversity and inclusion as well as K-12 STEM outreach and is proud to co-lead her daughters' Girl Scout troop.  She has a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Connecticut; an M.S. in Management and an M.S. in Engineering Science from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute; and an M.S. in Fire Protection Engineering from Worcester Polytechnic Institute.  Email: katie.sherrick@gmail.com

Jennifer Pascal
Advisor

Jennifer Pascal is an Associate Professor in Residence and Associate Department Head in the Chemical and Biomolecular Engineering Department at UConn. Her research focuses on integrating fine arts with engineering education and equity and inclusion in the classroom. She earned her B.S. and Ph.D. in chemical engineering from Tennessee Technological University and was a postdoctoral fellow at the University of New Mexico through the NIH IRACDA ASERT Program. Alix Deymier
Advisor
Alix Deymier is a professor in Biomedical Engineering in the School of Dental Medicine at UConn Health. Her lab focuses on the effects of pH on the musculoskeletal interfacial tissues like the tendon-to-bone attachment or the dentino-enamel junction. She is passionate about interdisciplinary research, creating inclusive STEM spaces, and dance. She has a B.S. in Materials Science from the University of Arizona and a Ph.D. in Materials Science and Engineering from Northwestern University. Email: deymier@uchc.edu
